Still Open

The Day After
I rounded the Alley and turned West to the 1400 block of Morse Avenue. It didn't take long to notice a Land Rover with temporary license plates slowly heading west also. This was 5:45am.

At 5:50am this Land Rover was heading east in the 1400 block of West Morse. At 5:55am he was heading west again. At 6:00am, he headed east. I called and reported this to 911 at 6:01am. I explained this driver looked as if he was shopping for something on Morse? Or he was lost and maybe needed directions?

Now, I was walking east in the 1400 block of West Morse by Soo liquors and a black man, 5 foot 7inches or so, 40ish, mustache, and a brown scottish hat walks by and asks me if "I'm cool"?

I said, "What"?

"You straight ?"
he asked again.

I asked him again,"what did you mean?"

He right out and said, "You need weed....crack?"

I cussed him out, he bitched my dogs were getting to close and I walked east to the patty wagon pulling up under the EL. I explained to the officer what the guy just said to me, what he looked like and told them he was down the street. This was 6:05am At this same time I was explaining this, the Land Rover was driving west on Morse and turned North on Glenwood from Morse Avenue, right in front of us, I pointed to the vehicle and said "that's the truck I called 911 on".

At 6:20am the Land Rover was still driving up and down Morse Avenue.
