Gangs and Drugs on Morse Avenue
Reported by: Joe on Estes
Sunday 02/06/05 @ 7:20 am
An old gang has returned to Morse Avenue, filling a vacuum from the recent bust. I remember these guys from last year when the 4 Corner Street gang tagged the then empty store on Morse and Glenwood. If we don't stop the cycle now, a more powerful gang will return with force (violence, maybe murder) like the Gansta Disciples. The Drug Market must close in our community. The Gang members were on Morse, Lunt, Wayne, and Greenview.
Called 911.

Saturday, February 5th,, 2005- Another victim snowballed and attacked adjacent to the Heartland. His date also approached by gooners, entering his building on Glenwood later that evening. Fortunately, his date had a hunting knife on his possession, which scared the assailants off. The victim told me that there were 14 kids, all in white tees and do rags roaming the circuit of Glenwood, Lunt, Greenview and Greenleaf from 8p.m. to 10p.m. The kids were reported to be eyeing balconies and courtyards during this time. 10p.m. same evening, my neighbor took his dog out for her last walk. Said he could hear the kids yelling the second he walked outside.

More neighbors I met encountered two men while walking eastbound on Greenleaf. Both men told them they had been threatened with racial slurs and mentioned having bottles thrown at them from a gang of 30 to 40 kids at Field School on Greenleaf and Ashland. One was in the process of calling 911 about the incident.
