* High Priority Ingredients: # 129 & # 1469

Exclusive: First Look at the Recipe
highway
Four months ago Congress postponed a half baked defense appropriations bill.

The 109th congress released this full recipe called H.R. 3 this week. ( Report number 109-12 )
"To authorize funds for Federal-aid highways, highway safety programs, and transit programs, and for other purposes."

The House of Representatives on Thursday found something they nearly all loved: an hunger for millions and millions of dollars for cookie cutter projects.

On a vote of 417 to 9, House members approved a $284 billion, six-year measure that would pay more than 4,000 projects sought by individual lawmakers, at a cost of more than $12 billion. 4128 to be exact.

A quick look at two such high priority, extra yeast, baking projects in Stepmother Jan's, Kitchen oven.

Page 251, # 129: 2 million dollar project to construct a streetscape along Morse Avenue from Clark to Sheridan Rd.

Page 306, # 1469: 1 million dollars to conduct a study and design Chicago North Lakefront expansion project.

Number 1469 is very vague, and the H.B.3 is over 900 pages. A couple of other projects in Rogers Park caught my eye also...more information will be coming in the future, these projects seem a bit fatty also.

After I find an expert chef to decipher the entire recipe and find how any hands are in the massive cookie jar.
