* Let's Have a Look at that Tape

As you might have guessed, I was at another motorcycle competition this weekend. Pretty sour results both days. On Saturday I really tanked it with a few nasty crashes. The carnage included a real nasty bruise on my thigh, many cuts, some broken bike parts and dogs that smell like cow dung. The camping area is a farmers pasture, thus the dogs smell. Some might have stayed home knowing the outcome in advance, which I felt I was due for disaster having not practiced much this summer. I didn't care though, a lousy day on a mountain with a motorcycle beats a day watching drug dealers on Morse Avenue. So, here's my weekend update from a emailer.

On August 19, 2005 at approximately 10:15 pm, the Morse building had criminal activity in front of it - loitering, public drinking, and what might have been drug dealing and prostitution.

These activities took place directly under Mr. Block's new camera on Morse. This is an opportunity for us to see the quality of Mr. Block's camera and his ability/willingness to act on whatever information it gathered at around that time.

Anybody want to take the lead in approaching him about the tape? I reamed him pretty hard at the CAPS meeting about the identity of the building owners, so I don't see myself as the ideal requesting party.

I'll do it if no other party steps forward. Remember, we have 5 days left to act.

Whatever else may be said, I did see Mr. Block on the sidewalk at Morse a few days ago, dealing with the installation of cameras, consulting regarding the fence, and talking with his groundskeeper and tenants. I thanked him for his efforts. He's not done yet (nor has he claimed to be, that I know of), but action is taking place.

Let's have a look at that tape to get a sense of where we stand.

Yours,

Tom

Here's an idea. Why don't a bunch of us sign a letter and deliver it to Mr. Block requesting the tape.

A copy of the letter should also be sent to the police department.

Power in numbers.

I think he's making an effort. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
