Please stop by any nightclub on Halsted Street, between Belmont and Grace Street on Friday night.

These bars and nightclubs are included, Lucky Horeshoe, Sidetrack, Roscoes, Buck's Saloon, Cocktail, Spin, Berlin, Little Jim's, Gentry, Hydrate, North End, Bobby Love's and Charlies.

The Red Cross takes donations anytime.

Also, this fundraising effort was sent to me by a reader.

The City of Dolton, IL is accepting donations for the Katrina refugee relief effort. Donations of bottled water, diapers, non-perishable foods, clothes (especially underwear and socks) will be accepted from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM through this Friday. There the supplies will be sorted, stacked on pallets, and loaded into semi-trailers bound for Baton Rouge for re-distribution. Donations may be received at:

A little over $2000 dollars was raised Friday night. Little Jims patrons raised the most ($600), Cellblock second and Sidetrack third. Thanks to all that helped.
