* Broken Door @ Loyola Fieldhouse is Still a Broken Door @ Loyola Fieldhouse
In October I brought up a story about a broken window in a door on Park District soil that had a board up look like Morse Avenue or Howard Street.
For Morse and Howard Alderman Moore and DevCorp North find this is acceptable. For Greenleaf by the lakefront hardly not.
Well... how wrong was I? This boarded up Loyola Fieldhouse door is still in-tact, as you read this.
I talked to Wayne Frazer from the Alderman's office about this boarded up/windowless door a few weeks later, after the story was published in October. Wayne said the Alderman did indeed call the CEO of the Park District. The very next day after the Marina meeting, complaining that the whole story about the broken window made him look real bad.
So nothing happened though, the boarded up windowless Loyola Fieldhouse door is still broken. The heating bill must be racking up? And who pays those bills?
How are we to trust Alderman Moore is going to get Gale Fieldhouse built, when he can't even get the Park District to fix the broken boarded up door at Loyola Fieldhouse?
As 2006 rolls around, I pray this door gets fixed before 2007.

This just shows just how administratively incompetent Joe Moore is. Remind everyone come 2007.
RANDALL SHERMAN
Secretary/Treasurer, Illinois Committee for Honest Government
Does it occur to anyone at City Hall or in Joe Moore's office that this door is running up the heat bill at this facility, and that the extra heating cost is probably 10X the cost of replacing the glass?
We should all spam Joe to death with daily e-mails demanding this door be repaired immediately.
Also, we can all type up letters to Joe, in large, bold type, requesting he get this done, and shove the letters under the door of his office. It is located in the shopping plaza at Greenview and Jarvis, next to the dry cleaners.
All we can do is HOWL about it until it gets done, until 2007.
However, unless another candidate starts campaigning aggressively and relentlessly NOW,we can expect the election to go just as it did in 2003.
Michael Harrington, are you reading this? You need to get busy. Stop posting on everybody else's blogs and set up your own, and get out here and start your campaign.Start contacting all the people who said they would work for you and gave you their cards. I'm one of them. Karen Hoover, where are you? I was going to vote for you but I didn't even see you on the ballot.
