* Gangs Sign on Tree Can and Will Be Removed
I featured this story a few days ago. I got a few email and comments wondering if graffiti could be removed from a tree. I checked with the men who know and can do something downtown and here is the answer. I really hope Mike the new guy in the 49th ward will also keep track of the progress, for he is the one who gets paid to notice and fix these "little Quality of Life" issues.
Hi Craig:
I checked with both our Bureau of Forestry and our Graffiti People which employs more certified arborists than any other municiple forestry outfit in the nation. Our Graffiti Crew should be able to remove the graffiti without damaging the tree. They have done this before and know the technique.
To make sure that all goes well one of our certified arborists will accompany them when they eventually do the Graffiti removal. I can't provide you with a timetable on this because it's not a standard job at this time of year and will take some coordinating...but it will get done. I will let you know if I find out any more information.
Thanks & be well.

I wonder if a digital camera, a computer, and a blog site can be used to remove graffiti from trees?
