As you know, I took the weekend off from blogging. It was freezing cold and I stayed inside. But thanks to you loyal readers your comments to other subjects kept me warm. Those who added insights this weekend, thanks. Those that just read um, thanks too. Here was a question posed in the comments section this weekend from new reader Gemma.
"Paradise wants to rid Rogers Park of crime. What do the rest of you think?
If you were given the opportunity to correct just one problem in Rogers Park, what problem would that be?
So, let's hear the readers thoughts.

How about a simple analogy of housecleaning? If you don't pick up the throw rugs when you sweep and mop, will there be dirt underneath? Or if you don't sweep before you mop are you creating a mess?
Continuing on Toni's housecleaning thread. How about if all trash of all kinds was removed from the neighborhood?
I'm crabby this morning.
I would request that every landlord conduct an extensive criminal background check on every prospective tenant and refuse to extend a lease to those with a record. It would be in their best interest as property owners.
Those landlords that don't would face the wrath of public scrutiny.
Just a thought.
The concept of extensive background checks was put forth to one landlord in a meeting recently and he agreed to do so. So that's a big positive for NOH. When he responds to my request to post more details about it, I will give him the credit due.

I think the person with the question was asking you Craig what you think should be changed.
So why don't you give us your views Craig?
Let us know.
