* Look What's Under the Wooden Box

Stuff You Won't Find on The CTA Tattle Tale

Yesterday the Hell Hole featured a story about those mysterious reflective wooden boxes. They are popping up everywhere these days. We wondered what they may be used for. Wait no more folks.

Today we exclusively expose what's under those reflective, slanted wooden boxes. A special made Morse compass street marker. These will come in handy for those fall down drunks and panhandlers who want to know which street they are on and what direction they may be facing. Where are the falling balloons? But where's the ribbon cutting? After all, it is an election year.

Seriously, how much did these chunks of fancy concrete cost? Who ordered them?

Did someone special receive the contract to install these fancy street markers?

In a time of tight budgets, high fuel costs and lack of accountability, are these fancy, concrete compass-street markers, the proper way to spend money?

Maybe the CTA Tattle Tale can get to the bottom of all this. Or at least point us in the right direction.

Nice job. Hey, I ran into a friend of mine yesterday that I see at Jarvis Beach in the summer. I saw him as I was coming out of the grocery store on Morse. His apartment back door looks down over the alley and parking lot of theist market. He told me that on Saturday, the 22nd; at about 5:00 he was out in that alley and someone hit him in the head with a brick. They mugged him and stole his blue Schwinn. He didn't wake up until they were getting him into the ambulance. His head is messed up. Be careful-this happened in broad daylight. Craig, how do we reach you when we hear stories like this or good pictures?

What a dissappointment. I was hoping for the missing components to Kryptos, the cide-ladened sculpture at the CIA's headquaters in Langley, VA.
Instead we get something that looks like the old Seattle Mariners Logo.
Just another attempt to marginalize us White Sox fans, I guess. :)

The CODE laden sculpture at Langley, I meant.
Of course it could be -cide laden too.
Homicide, Regicide, etc...
