* Reflective Wooden Boxes Freaks Out Beggar
If you haven't noticed the reflective covered, wooden boxes at the Lunt Avenue and Morse Avenue sides of the Morse EL, you haven't walked by the station in the last few day's. You can't miss them.
Why are these wooden boxes here? I checked our own version of Joan Rivers from the CTA tattle-tale website, but out found nothing. Maybe he/she will tell us under Just the Facts Ma'am screen name.
Are they the beggars boxes? Because that's what they look like. See, everytime I go by, I see people either sitting on them asking for money or people are using them to eat on, then discarding the trash on the ground, (see photo).
I asked the guy why he threw his trash on the ground after he was done eating?
He told me, " It was none of my business and to leave him the fuck alone." So I did.
Next, I asked the beggar who pesters me almost everyday for "72 cents," in front of the liquor store. I asked him, "What was the reflective box with the slanted top for?"
He said "I [he] don't know man, but it sure freaked me [him] out!" FYI, I didn't give him 72 cents. I never do.

Just a little editorial advice -- when directly quoting someone, you don't have to change the perspective of the pronouns unless it's unclear what they're referring to due to an omission in the statement.
So, for example --
"It was none of my business and to leave him the fuck alone."
should read
"It's none of your business. Leave me the fuck alone." (if that's what he said). Otherwise, it shouldn't be quoted as the way you have worded it makes it an indirect quotation.
Your final quotes also are confusing. Where you relate what you asked the man, you've worded it as an indirect quote but punctuated it as a direct quote. His final response to you doesn't need the bracketed pronouns. Since it's a complete quote, there should be no confusion as to who "I" and "me" refer to. The "He said" part takes care of that.
By the way -- a heartwarming story. You manage to report nothing, talk shit about the CTA tattler (again) and come across as completely heartless.
Bravo.
I drive down this street every day to and from work. What is going on at the SW side of the el? The street has been torn up with poles sticking out. Also, I am SO sick of the same lady asking me for money for cereal in front of the grocery store every day. 24th district cops suck too-LAZY!
