* Clark Street Festival A Winner - Updated
Shocking as this statement seems, yesterday I stopped by the Clark Street fair after the parade and found the event to be lively and entertaining. This isn't the norm up here. My first guess was someone new must be in charge.
There were a wide variety of merchandise vendors and food booths, not to mention a couple of beer stands. The crowds were large, but not overwhelming. I was told earlier in the day the crowd was even larger than when I got there. As I ventured to the north towards the stage at Touhy where the band was playing I wound up starting to spend money. I bought a cowboy hat at Jessica's Western Wear, I got two hanging plants from the Gale School and then I got a "cold one," if you know what I mean. The Heartland Cafe booth was busy serving food, and the boss was working hard. CAPS had a booth and the commander was there greeting the festgoers.
Overall, this fest turned out to be a success even though it's put together by a bunch of overpaid schumks. If Kimmy and company can start netting results like this on Morse Avenue, we may not need the Hell Hole anymore.
And how was your weekend?
Updated:
Jeff-O asked why no pix? Well Jeff-O, I took over 300 photographs at the Gay Pride Parade. I was tired of taking pictures and wanted to just relax and chill out a bit.
I did come across this juicy little photograph of our own David 'Flaming' Fagus at yesterday's Gay Pride parade I wanted to share with all of you who couldn't make the parade. As I started counting the elected officials that were in attendance, I wondered if I was at the Political Day Parade instead of the Gay Pride Parade. Out of the 250 confirmed entries, 41 were elected officials.

We stopped out and really enjoyed it. Everyone was well-behaved and the food was great. Perhaps the Hell Hole should have had a booth? :)
Since you asked, I had a great weekend! The rain did scare me off from the parade though.
We hit the garden walk AND the festival. What a great yet bizarre yet oh-so-RP clash of cultures. Loved it!
