* Vandals Cut Down Tent

To those who kept telling me "You're not wanted here, there is only good news here." Well have I got news for you. Late last night someone snuck into Loyola Park and cut down the Artist on the Wall tent, thus ending the streak of good news in Rogers Park.

Not only did they cut down the tent, they may have used the organizers own scissors to do the dirty work, according to one of the organizers named Mary.

Mary also mentioned one of the perpetrators took a dump (shit) under the tent before cutting the strings. The list of suspects are the homeless people according to Mary. "Leaving behind a crap is like leaving behind your calling card."

"They musta been upset over something,"
said a on-looker. "Maybe they didn't like one of the paintings?"

Blognotes:
The Mayors office brought out a air filled, enclosed jumping station, which was set up and taken down just as quickly. Word in the park was the jumping station was set up and taken down with-in a two hour period. The kids were hopping mad.

The Git Gone Boys performance at 2 p.m. had major sound glitches. The sound kept cutting in and out though-out the set sounding as if the music was missing half it's beats.

We walked down to check it out today and it was really pretty cool. Sure, some sections are better than others but it was nice to see the community enjoying the event.

RP is on the up, but we all still have a lot of work to do.

Just got back from the lake and artist wall and it looks great. Do they declare a winner?
My 3 year old daughter liked the R. Crumb tribute, Yikes! Park was left in good shape after such an event and clear up continued this morning.
