* Sunday Morning Beatdown @ the Block Building

Leftover Blood From the Night Before

My neighbor was quite upset this morning. Shaking upset. First thing she asked me instead of saying 'good-morning' was, "Did you hear that last night Craig?"

I told her I "didn't hear a thing." See, I sleep with a high-powered fan to block out the un-wanted noise. Anyhow, because I didn't witness this little human whip-down, here's her account of what happened.

About 1:10 a.m. Sunday morning, three black guys took one male hispanic male down hard to the ground in the alley next to the Block building. They all started kicking the man who was now curled up on the cold pavement.

These three meanies kicked him in the ribs and kicked him in the stomach! Then the three bad boys started stomping up and down on the helpless hispanic guy's head! The three were dancing all over this guy's face.

This caused him to bleed in the alley!

By the time the three black guys were done beating and stomping the guy, he was life-less looking, according to my neighbor. She noticed a group of hispanic males running towards the scene from Morse Avenue. Then the three black males who were doing the major beat-down retreated and got into a car that was illegally parked in the alley next to the Block building at 1345 West Lunt.

The group of hispanic males picked their bloodied buddy off the ground and carried him back towards the Morse Avenue area.

911 was called. Everyone denied help from the police. No arrests were made, according to my neighbor. Case closed. I think not. I think we're going to see a good case of street justice in the future. It's bad enough I'm a target of a few misguided youths. Now, what's worse, I could get caught up in the cross-fire, actually getting hit.

Where's your beat facilitator, wringing his hands? Or is he sending emails that the truths are lies and bloggers should delete them?

Where's the alderperson who claims crime is down? Conferring with the beat facilitator?

Cynical or honest? How long did it take neighbors to extract information on the owner of that building? Who or what stood in your/their way? What exactly have the 'leaders' done to date to 'fix' the problem?

hey tie die.

one up for your friends, but if you notice you and your friends are losing. notice the numbers of dumb fools like you that end up in jail or dead?

very high compared to the people you chastise on this blog.

keep laughing, but in the end the people on this blog live longer happier lives. and they will enjoy more freedoms than your ignorant mind can fathom.

I wonder how many of us sleep with fans on to drown out noise.

John your right name calling does't solve anything, when someone is the one who wants to be in charge so to speak, and wants to be the one giveing talks to the police in front of the people in the neighborhood. He (kevin) needs to do what he has to do; listen to the problems people present at the caps meetings & make a effort to do something about them.Let's face it he is a tool doing what he is told. Good boy kevin here is your bone know go lay down!

Just read the rental ads in the papers or online for Rogers Park. Look at how many of them say "no security deposit required". When you have so many landlords that don't bother to collect security deposits, it tells me they aren't even checking if the backgrounds of their tenants.

But ooops. That means you just might exclude some of the lower class scum. And that would be a bad thing, right?

Time to go to sleep!

Craig you're just lapping this shit up aren't you. Despite sleeping through it all with your wind tunnel fan. You personalize this alley fight as if you could be the next one harmed. You've got some kind of hero/savior complex. You take a picture of a blood that wouldn't even cover a snot rag and immediately project it upon yourself. Soap Opera.

Some shit head kid (probably not a kid, but an adult with a warped sense of humor) has given himself the name "Tiedie" and starts writing crap on this blog and you and some of the reader's here get their undies all tie in a bunch over it. What a bunch of phony people you all are. And then you've got you're precious Julie who thinks she can save the world. Did you ever think some people are criminals because they are criminals and not because they've lived an underprivledged life. There are plenty of decent people who don't commit crimes, yet you'll give these kids a pass everytime. (Oh my they're so beaten down by the cops and society...wah wah wah).

Gee Craig, I wish you luck finding every puss head pimple in Rogers Park to complain about.

Pllllt.
