"Clearly the street {Morse Avenue} is not a huge, busy thoroughfare, so the idea of getting top-of-the-line retail establishments on Morse is probably not realistic."

Not true Hugh. See the News Star uses so much infomation for their stories from my site without giving me credit, why should I promote links to their site?

And, I'll clearly admit, at that meeting their was a great deal of support for Andy's plan. Much was pre-stacked with favorable players like DevCorp North and the Special Service Area tax members.

Funny thing about that story Hugh. Andy qoutes himself as saying no tax dollars are going to be used for the project.

But two paragraphs above that statement, Special Service Area Tax manager Matthew Bowker said that SSA representatives are identifying areas close to the venue that can rent out parking.

So, someone's not telling the truth or the reporter doesn't know that a SSA IS A TAX.

And one more thing Hugh. Indeed many approved of this project at that meeting. But very few of them actually live with-in 250 feet of the address.

Those are the only folks that matter to the liquor commission.

How many is very low? Zero.

McGhee proclaimed.....> "Joe has been most gracious and very helpful."

Sounds like a campaign slogan to me. Does that mean we can expect to see a Joe Moore for Alderman poster in the 1228 West Lunt house?

It appears that statement by joe,is the aaittude joe has toward the whole 49th ward. So haveing this attitude why would anyone want to vote to vote joe back in office?

If we vote for one of the other candidates can they do worse? What have we got to lose? If their as bad as joe, the ward is in the same shape as it is now and we vote them out.

Joe cares about joe & his "friends" he makes the ward good for his-self and to make money for those "friends" we are all aware of.

The sentence in the article that annoyed me most was...

The McGhees have invested millions into their project

...implying it's their own money.
