* Comparing the 'Thumbs Up' Pose

Now day's candidates for office pay bloggers to blog about the campaign. Sometimes they blog-cheer about their candidate. Sometimes they blog-spy. Sometimes they pose for photo's with the age old, thumbs up's pose.

Alex Armour was a blog advisor to Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky and paid well for his blog-advice to her campaign. Now he's coming to work for Alderman Moore (49th ward Anti-Business). Here is a 'thumbs up' photo from young blog-boy Alex. This was taken by an unknown photographer while Alex was at some who's-who, political convention. Notice that his thumb is blocking the Illinois pole. That's just wrong.

Now, not to be outdone in the 'thumbs up' department, here is the original blogger with his troops in Ohio a few weeks ago. The 'thumbs up' are all easy to spot. Phillip, (far right) earns style points for the double thumbs and pinky finger 'thumbs up' - with eye's closed!)

Now that's a 'thumbs up' Alex. But keep practicing. You'll get it.

I don't get it. What do you mean "that's wrong" about the guy's thumb?

You are mistaken. Alex Armour was Jan Schakowsky's political director. I'm not sure what all this "blog advisor" business is.

Alex Armour, for Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill., he writes at SchaBLOGsky, one of the earlier candidate blogs. Armour's salary is about $3,200 a month.

Schakowski doesn't have a blog. She has a political website with an area that appears to be in a blog-like format so she can brag at cocktail parties on how hip she is. It's not a blog.

It doesn't take much to get banned. Just disagree. Try it your self.

With one post a month and no comments and no actual discussion it's hard to understand why Jan needed a blogmeister.

When Aunt Jan sent out her pro-Urkel letter warning area residents of the grave pending threat to women's right to choose, I couldn't believe it, such an ardent reform-minded politician endorsing Urkel. I went to her website to confirm her endorsement of Urkel. I didn't find anything. I posted asking for confirmation and asking my Rep. to please post her endorsement of Urkel on her website for the record. Boy did that get deleted fast! So Alex already banned me from one website.

Craig, many elected officials and political candidates have blogs on their websites. It's simply a part of the game these days.

I gather that you aren't a fan of Joe Moore. But trying to marginalize Alex Armour as "a paid blogger" and trying to make Joe Moore look inept for hiring him only makes you look like someone who doesn't know what he's talking about.
