Listening to the police scanner, every once in a while you hear some crazy 911 calls. I get a kick out of the ' Kids are playing in the park" calls - or " a person is sitting at the bus bench, 911 calls. Yes, people call 911 about kids playing in the park and people sitting on the bench.
But here's a doozy.
A call came across the wire yesterday around 10:45 a.m. Seems there was a squash on a stick in the yard on West Norwood. This bothered a anonymous neighbor enough to call 911. "The squash was placed on the stick in a sexual manner," said the 911 operator. A chuckle response was returned from the officer told to check into the matter. No details if anyone was arrested.
