Chicago Police are looking for the driver and vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that occurred in the Rogers Park (24th) District. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. Dec. 15, 2006. A dark-colored vehicle, believed to be a SUBARU BAJA, was traveling west on Devon west of Glenwood.

As the vehicle drove left of center, it struck a 40-year-old woman as she was crossing the street carrying groceries. After striking the victim and seriously injuring her, the vehicle continued west and was last seen turning left at Clark to go south.

The SUBARU BAJA is a “crossover” type vehicle that has four passenger doors and an open rear pick-up bed area that is smaller than a normal pick-up truck cargo area. The vehicle is believed to have front end damage and a smashed front windshield.
