* Ginderske Campaign Insider Admits Defeat

From the 'Reader's 'Clout City' blog comments:

Craig Gernhardt has - by his actions - declared his support of Alderman Joe Moore (49 Ward, Chicago) in his bid for reelection.

Over the past number of weeks, Gernhardt has published scathing stories about all of Moore's challengers. Often, these stories have been outright lies. Although Gernhardt has not come right out and openly declared his support for Joe Moore, his actions by his blog site have the effect of providing aid and comfort for Joe Moore.

Gernhardt thrives on attention, and the aldermanic races (this one and previous ones) are always grat fodder for a blogger (this one included). But Gernhardt has a vested interest in seeing Joe Moore retain his seat: If Moore loses, it would mean a better man would be our alderman, and with a good alderman Gernhardt would have much less to write about. If, suddenly, a Don Gordon or a Jim Ginderske were to start cleaning up the neighborhood and doing a decent job of looking after the ward, Gernhardt would have virtually nothing to write about.

So congratulation to Alderman Moore, the DFA, the DNC, the IVI-IPO: Not even the CIA could run a better operation than the agent provocateur you have in Craig Gernhardt.

Blognotes: Nice to have people like this on your side. Or against you. Not sure with with this guy? Tom Mannis, one of Jim Ginderske's inside volunteers, has conceded his candidates chances in February 27th's election. Ginderske might as well pull out now. Why waste those volunteers when they could better serve the other two candidates.

Mannis has even to gone as far as saying, it's all my fault and I support Alderman Moore.

Note to other candidates: Do you or your volunteers feel this way? Come February 28th, when either Gordon or Adams' takes Alderman Moore in a run-off, take note. Keep Mannis far from your campaign. It's guaranteed to implode with him anywhere near. After all, he's a republican. The one vote he has, isn't worth the damage he will cause to your campaign.

Nah, ginderske's chances are great. Best thing craig can do is dis the man - an endorsement would be the kiss of death. Just hope he doesn't endorse Moore - the guy would drop dead of a heart attack.

Morse Man,

Tom has a negative attitude!?!? Have you actually read anything Craig has written? Almost everything Craig writes is negative. This whole mess about the printed flyers is a joke. Who cares?

See? You ARE obsessing. This is fun. Keep it up. You're going crazy and everyone in Rogers Park is watching you unravel. You can't help yourself, can you? Say, have you walked your dog yet today? Poor thing, you probably forgot to take her out.

Craig, I liked you a lot for rallying the neighborhood to oppose the lakefront marina and outerdrive extension, and still more for exposing Joe Moore and the damage he has done this area.

However, I have to agree with Mannis in that you have, by slamming every plausible opponant, given "aid and comfort" to the Mooron.

You're sorta like Mother Theresa- if there were no pain and suffering, you would have no work to do.

Gee thanks, but somehow that accomplishment found it's way GInderske's campaign material as HIS own doing.

Another trick he learned from Alderman Moore.

This is coming from a man who has dedicated two blogs on my personal business, how I run my private business and where-abouts.

I wonder who's really obsessed?

So you re-posted it at the top of your blog? You showed him!

If you have some advice for the Ginderske campaign a quick note to info@jimgrp.com might work better.

Yummy, Yummy Craig. Who are you going to feed to the sharks next? Joe's just rolling in the aisles waiting for you to chop another one of his opponents to pieces. And when he takes his oath of office and has another four years we will have you to thank.

Don are you next? Fangs for the memories...

Thanks Hugh. Listen to the voice of wisdom here. It says "remember who we really want to get rid of".

Remember what needs to be done by Feb. 27. Worry about Feb. 28 if and when that other business gets done.
