* Moore and Ginderske Joined Together?
This is such a short clip of Jim Ginderske and Joe Moore sharing a whisper and chuckle during Don Gordon's youth segment.
Gordon was talking about the Leone Beach Junior lifeguard program that got dismantled under Alderman Moore's leadership parks plan. Gordon wants to bring that program back to it's once former glory. Under Moore, the Chicago Park district tried to swipe their lifeboats and lifesaving gear - basically trying to sink the program.
This little back-and-forth between Moore and Ginderske went on all forum. Like they were good ole buddies. There was so much touching, you'd thought you were watching a massage therapy class. Needless to say, it was sickening to watch this 'public display of affection' going on between these two. This is the stuff that needs to stay behind closed doors. Or maybe not?
Could the curtain be unraveling?

I got a real looker this morning. Someone's' already visited 9 times and has spent over a hour on the 'Broken Heart' this morning. Politics must be a popular topic?
Whoever this is, I hope you enjoy the coverage?

Really? I don't know how any objective viewer yesterday could have gotten the impression that Jim and Joe were acting "chummy". Since Jim is actively trying to take Joe's job away from him, "joined together" is probably the last phrase I'd use to describe their relationship. I'm interested in hearing what possible motivation any challenger could have for tacitly supporting his opponent.
As far as this video, I didn't see this happen live-- maybe because it's less than two seconds long. To me, that doesn't seem to qualify a much of a friendly chat. For all we know they were talking about who was to go on next. But because neither of them are scowling, or flipping each other off, it must mean that there's some sort coordinated conspiracy going on?
I've been a little suprised to see your recent election coverage dominated by what seems to be petty and personal axe grinding against Ginderske. If there's some personal animosity between you two, it might be better to just come out and say it-- instead of continually trying to make mountains out of molehills while pretending to be objective. For what it's worth, I still enjoy your non-election community posts and of course, everything anti-Moore.
(In the interest of full disclosure, I have volunteered for Jim's campaign. I plan on supporting him next month, but would support any one of the three challengers over Joe Moore, should it come down to a run off.)

THANK YOU!
Your self importance is staggering.

Subject: 2006 Crime Statistics Released
2006 Crime Statistics
Dear Neighbor,
The 2006 crime statistics for the 24th Police District are out, and I am pleased to report that index crime in our neighborhood continues to decline. Index crime dropped 1.2% in 2006 as compared to 2005. I've provided a summary of those statistics below.
This reduction in crime in our neighborhood continues a trend that began with the introduction of community policing in the early 1990s. Overall, the 24th District has seen a sharp 49% decrease in index crime since 1991, resulting in 5,301 fewer victims of serious crime in 2006 as compared to 1991.
Index crimes are generally the most serious crimes and include homicide, criminal sexual assault, robbery, aggravated assault and battery, burglary, theft, vehicle theft and arson.
While the homicide rate increased citywide, the 24th District experienced a 40% decrease in homicides. Criminal sexual assaults also experienced a double-digit decrease.
These year-end statistics reflect the good work of the men and women of the 24th District Police Department and the dedicated efforts of scores of community volunteers who participate in CAPS. With the help of information secured from neighborhood residents and leaders, the Chicago Police Department shut down two major drug operations last year and forced four longstanding problem apartment buildings into the City of Chicago's Strategic Task Force Program.
In addition, the work of the anti-violence program, Cease Fire, clearly contributed to the steep decline in the number of homicides. Cease Fire works to prevent gang violence and steer young gang members into more productive lives.
The installation of three "blue light" police cameras in the 49th Ward also contributed to our crime reduction efforts, and two more cameras will be installed very soon.
Finally, the popular new streetlights installed throughout the ward shine light on the sidewalks as well as the street, increasing safety and improving the streetscape. I've already installed new streetlights on 46 blocks in our ward, and more new streetlights are planned for 2007.
Our work to make the 49th Ward crime-free is far from done, but we've come a long way. And with your continued help, we will continue the progress we've made.
Sincerely,
Joe Moore

OK, I'd like to know what you're hiding if you can't use a real name? If I inherit a repair shop does that mean I'm really a mechanic or just the overall day to day manager with trained workers doing the job?
Several in the audience noticed the references to Jim's great work and NSP's community efforts and the whispering while another person was speaking. If nothing else "it's just rude" - said a Northpoint neighbor.
That's a Joe trademark, showboating and disrupting. I hope Jim doesn't sit next to Joe at the next debate.
Put Joe between Chris and Don and see if there's a difference.

I'll kick it off.

For comments like those removed this morning, there are other blogs for that crap. Take it over there, not here.
I simply am asking you if you HEARD what those two said to each other. Obviously you are just spinning yarns from your imagination.
If you're going to write fairy-tales, be prepared to act like a a man and take it when you're called out on rubbish.
and don't worry about kicking me off your blog, i feel no need to read this yellow journalism. If i want fairy tales and yarns, i'll read the Brothers Grimm. They make much better reading than your garbage.
Good day sir.
