On Monday, February 5th, at about 5:30 p.m., a 21 year old male was shot in both thighs by one bullet at 1325 West Estes. The victim is in stable condition at St. Frances Hospital in Evanston. The 21 year old told police he wasn't a member of a gang.
Two offenders, wearing ski masks, ambushed the victim in the gangway, with one displaying a chrome gun just before firing the one shot, said a witness who didn't want to be identified. The two unknown masked offenders fled west on Estes. New commenter Estes1 said, 'I've been living on Estes for 12 years and it has gotten worse."
911 was called. The charge was aggravated battery. The gun welding offender and his sidekick are currently still on the loose.
