78%, more than three quarters, of the support for Joe Moore, more than a half a million dollars, comes from OUTSIDE the Greater Rogers Park Area.
Joe Moore raises more than $3.50 from non-constituents for every dollar he raises from constituents.
Dear neighbors,
Joe Moore's out-of-district sponsors have big bucks, but you have something they don't have - your vote. Joe Moore has long ago figured out he literally does not need us to get re-elected. He has pursued an aggressive policy of catering to national issues, and it has worked well for him. On Tuesday, April 17, remind Joe who he was supposed to be working for for the last 16 years.

Once again the Hellhole fails, not only the grammar test, but the math test. The great researcher Hugh claims that Moore raised $683,515.28 but look at those numbers again:
$196,889.70 June 30th report
$212,886.51 December 31st report
$37,900.00 Pre-Primary report
$39,830.00 A-1 reports
$487,506.21 total raised. You're $200,000 off!
Your problem was that both a final report and a December 31st report were filed and if you look, you'll see the same donations appear on both reports. Sloppy research, Hugh. But of course, the lie is always more fun than the truth.
Joe gets money from the people who do business in RP but do not live in our ward. These people are call "carpetbaggers" they come do take monry out in their pockets & leave behind nothing.
Joe represents the business people who can make a quick buck off the ward but do nothing to improve the ward.
Again this shows why you need to ..VOTE JOE OUT!! VOTE FOR DON GORDEN!!
I agree the $683,515.28 figure is shocking.
> You're $200,000 off!
Moore is $200K off.
The campaign is responsible for the accuracy of its disclosures filed with the Illinois State Board of Elections, not me, or the Board. The $683,515.28 is not based on the numbers Moore reported in his semi-annual reports, pre-election reports, and A-1 reports that you quote. It is based on independently totaling the individual contributions Moore reported from 1/1/06 to the election. Try it. You can look it up.
> Joe gets money from the people who do business in RP but do not live in our ward.
that's partially true, but what's certainly true is:
Joe gets money from people who do not live in our ward.
When confronted with the docuemnted facts of Moore's lack of grassroots support in his own ward, his apologists come back with, without support,
"Well, Joe's financial backers may not LIVE in the ward but they do BUSINESS in the ward."
So it's somehow OK.
No analysis of Moore's campaign contributions are offered to support this contention.
FACT IS
Most of Moore's support is from people who do not live in the ward.
Most people who live in the ward do not support Moore.
