* Police Chase Ends in Gale Park

If you happened upon the Gale Park area during the evening rush hour last night, you were surrounded by a great number of squad cars chasing a person on a bike wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. The chase was short, it lasted about a couple of minutes. From Jonquil to Ashland, back to Jonquil, then the police had him cornered in Gale Park.

What makes this police chase so compelling. The bicyclist also was alleged to be toting a handgun. The alleged 'gun' was recovered at 7708 North Ashland at 6:21 p.m. according to communications dispatch. The bicycle was returned to it's rightful owner minutes later. Could this have been a bike-jacking?

Blognotes: Another 911 call yesterday evening was distrubing also. In the alley behind 1714 West Touhy, three 14 year old boys were showing themselves (?) to a girl under the age of 10. No full description on what they were showing!

Blognotes - Out of Bounds: While we're covering gun stories. My buddies over at What-the-Helen have closed shop - yet some of their readers still follow the 'Broken Heart'. Here's a story for you. Yesterday the Conservative Vice Lords and the P-Stones had it out, with someone being hit with a bullet at Wilson and Broadway. This is just a few doors down from Alderman Shiller's office. Word has it - before the shooting, they were 'representing'. That's good to know.

I miss WhatTheHelen. Now, Uptown has nobody to raz Queen Helen on a regular basis and shine the spotlight on her ongoing malfeasance and destruction to Ward 46.

Let me tell you, you'd rather have our problems than theirs. Our problems are solvable, while Helen is visiting destruction on Uptown that the area will be stuck with for another 50 years.
