Don race a great race for what he had to go with. Mostly all VOLUNTEERS.

Unbelievably close by 138 votes, what was the vote count in the Feb results, did voters drop out? Looks like Moore actuall was reduced while Gordon moved way up. Well you did the best you could, I would say next time you can move Moore out. I was routing for Moore and you all.

Joe Moore was forced into a runoff by 51 votes and didn't cry and whine like you people. He won. Don lost. Lesson over. Grow up and starting thinking about how to transcend your pettiness and work with the Alderman for the next few years to do some good. He's ready and waiting and much sobered by his narrow victory over an incompetant racist moron.

This isn't over YET! With such a close vote count there will be a recount. I worked in the 28th precinct where there were some problems and there apparently were MANY problems at Gale.
I'm sure there will be a recount on this.

Don Gordon ran a good campaign. He offered practical solutions, focused on the ward, and took the high road. In my opinion, Joe Moore did not.

Moore's percent of victory (should he prevail) has steadily eroded over the years. Yesterday, essentially HALF of the voters acknowledged that the quality of ward service and leadership is poor, voting for change. Though hopes springs eternal, based on his track record, my guess is that the incumbent won't reach out to Gordon voters, won't willingly make any changes in response to this outcome, and will instead claim a "mandate" for business as usual. I guess its up to all of us to hold his feet to the fire until the next election.

Does anyone know what happened with the last uncounted precinct? In February and again yesterday the 49th Ward lagged behind the rest of the city in reporting election results. Is that simply a matter of geography?

I'd say you are the petty one. And you seem pretty angry too. In fact, all you Joe Moore commenters are quite angry and yet you won (maybe). Shouldn't you be happy now??- yet you don't seem happy. So sad. Cheer up and stop telling other people what to do. What do you do? Why don't you do something? and then tell us about it. Maybe you'll inspire someone. But that isn't what you want to do is it? You just want to tear people down and feel superior.
