* SEIU's Fake George Bush Spreads Lies

Copy of email I sent earlier today, copying SEIU and others.

Dear Alderman Moore,

I'm writing to express my disgust with the campaign literature I received yesterday from the SEIU Illinois Council PAC promoting your re-election for Alderman of the 49th Ward of Chicago.

The brochure contains an out of context picture of challenger Don Gordon seemingly designed to convey the impression he's about to slap an African American male with the back of his hand. The racially charged innuendo is appalling. Other SEIU literature mailed in recent weeks has contained similarly veiled suggestions that Mr. Gordon - and by extension his supporters - are intolerant bigots and racists, poised for a "takeover" of Rogers Park.

I showed the flyer to two female coworkers, one Latino, one African American, neither familiar with this election. Both said it was a picture of a white guy slapping a black man.

Misleading statements are bad enough but this kind of garbage crosses the line. It's completely unacceptable for a candidate for alderman.

Sincerely,

Anthony Halford
Chase Avenue

I'd wear a mask, too, if i was stumping for Joe Moore.

These aren't volunteers, of course, they are paid workers. They must be raising their families on this work. That means he better be paying them at least...what was it? Twelve dollars wage plus three benefits dollars for every hour in the mask, right?

As we know from his campaign contribution filings, he can certainly afford it.
