* Break-in/Burglary @ 1440 West Farwell

Last night at about 9;30PM, a 911 call went out for a break-in/burglary at 1440 West Farwell. This is located in the lawless CAPS Beat 2431 region. Right next door to CAPS 2431 facilitator and well known 49th ward community fabricator/Moore cover up artist, Kevin O'Neil.

The 911 caller/victim described the break-in/burglary offender as a older black male - about 5 foot 6 to 8 inches tall. He was wearing a dark colored leather jacket, wearing a beret and was sporting a grayish hair look. The as described offender headed eastbound on Farwell with the victims computer case in hand.

That description sounds like scottie. He often wears a beret too.

WONDER HOW KELVIN WILL COVER THIS ONE UP AT THE NEXT BEAT MEETING??

Wonder if "bloggerdaddy49" will characterize this crime as a "Mayberry" type of crime because burglary is so commonplace in all locales?

There's nothing scarier than someone being able to break into your home, and anyone who would do it while you are on the premises, as the victim apparantly was, is very dangerous.

Is that the new condo conversion? Hello new homeowners...Welcome to the neighborhood!

IS 1440 being converted? Last I looked, short while ago, it was rental. Most of the conversions are in the 1600 block.

The building at Farwell & Ashland on the SW corner is being gutted right now, for a conversion no doubt. Fine. This was a troubled building.

Is 1440 the beautiful golden brick courtyard with the red terra cotta roof and French windows, managed by Bil-mar? If so, it is developing problems and needs watching, and calls to 311. Some very bad people have moved in. I don't live there so I can't watch- I'm 3 blocks away.

There is a great, well-managed rental at 1226, exceptionally beautiful courtyard close to Sheridan. Not being converted at this time.

North Coast, you can kiss my skinny brown ass. If you can't tell the difference between a purse snatcher who DOESN'T get the purse and a home break-in burglary with theft, then you are stupider than you look. Go back to your trailer park, girl! Your butt kissing of Craig is worse than Harringtom's boring lectures. (God save us from part TWO!) Got that spittle problem under control yet?

bloggerdaddy, you are even dumber and still more evil than you look if you can't see that pursesnatchings are more that a "Mayberry" type of crime.

Purse snatchers are burglers and muggers in training.

Worse, a purse snatcher can seriously injure an elderly person merely by knocking her off balance and causing her to fall. A fall at the age of 75 or 80 is life-threatening, and often causes a person to be bedridden for the rest of her life, which is considerably shortened by injuries sustained in the fall.

I grew up in this country's most dangerous city, where my purse was snatched 3 times while I was in "good" neighborhoods, and where I was also held up at gunpoint once, and mugged at knifepoint a few years later.

Since I moved to Chicago, I have mostly been blessedly free of the kind of fear that was with me always in my old city, a place that is run pretty much by people who think the way you do- if you get your purse snatched there, you are told to be grateful that you didn't have something worse happen.

Sorry, I'm not grateful. To me, a civilized neighborhood is one where you can walk with your shoulder bag hanging from your shoulder, not one where you have to pin your wallet inside your pants leg and carry a dummy wallet to satisfy the purse snatchers and muggers.

Why don't YOU go back to whatever garbage dump you are accustomed to living in? People like you have helped turn the north end of this neighborhood into one.

So bloggerdaddy wants us to think it is male with a girlfriend and a person of color. I'm taking notes on this. :o)
