Last night Morse Avenue was a free for all for the law-breakers. This mornings aftermath is really appalling.
I'm just focusing on what was left directly in front of Soo Liquors last night. If anyone in their right mind can tell me this collection just mysteriously appeared in front of Soo Liquors, stop reading. Because you're not in your right mind.
Here's the collection. Three dope baggies. A large bottle of Smirnoff. A Hennessy and a Remy Martin. Plus the brown bag, beer can collection. Can someone tell me about how long it takes to drink all this stuff? And this was just in front of Soo Liquors at 1420 West Morse Avenue. Where's the police issuing tickets like they do to the dog owners who don't have licenses? Isn't open air drinking on the sidewalk against the law too? Like I said, last night was a free-for-all on Morse Avenue. I can only guess tonight is going to be more of the same.

As I mentioned yesterday, Kevin O'Neil and Joe Moore are very aware of this problem issue.
And besides that, why continue to e-mail them, only to get a bullshit lie for the answer? Or in some cases, no return answer at all.
I've tried it that way, it doesn't work with those two.
I wouldn't e-mail Moore, but try to neutrally approach Rott or the Community Services Official at the 24th Precinct. What goes on at that CAPs office at Gateway Plaza, anyway? Is there ever someone posted?
I agree, it may go nowhere, but if there is a way to forward the material as soon as it becomes available, these people don't have as much of an excuse.
Then, again, catching a few kids driniking on the beach at any given moment (or anywhere else) can be a challenge.
why don't you ask the police department where the tac and gang teams are on the weekend? they are sent down to the taste and the ghetto....so who is handling 024 on fri/sat/sun while they are gone? doesn't RP need its aggressive officers on the weekends? Aren't these the days when the fools act up the most? Oh wait, everyday is Sat when you don't work....

Someone comes by an picks up the trash in front of Soo Liquor on a regular basis. If they did not pick it up, don't you think we'd be hip deep by now?

Why don't you go into the store and nicely ask the owner to sponsor a trash receptical outside his store and be responsible for emptying the trash into his dumpster out back.
