On Sunday at 1 a.m., a young man was killed on the 2300 block of West Jarvis. His name was Kendre Brisco, 29 years old. He worked at Whole Foods.
Ceasefire will have a vigil on Wednesday July 11th at 6pm.

ok, you want to discuss an organization that shouldn't be getting tax money- ceasefire. taxpayer dollars going to hold prayer circles? so incredibly wrong.

sad indeed, my heart goes out to the family of the deceased.
This man who was shot and killed was not a gang member. Kendre Brisco was, by all reports, a hard working father of two.
I'm told Kendre was behind his own apartment building. And word is, he was targeted for his nice auto.
Now, two children are with-out a father, because someone allegedly wanted his car. And we're not suppose to mourn in a organized fashion?
In this case, I thank Ceasefire for helping me find out who got shot and why. You guys can continue to jump to conclusions.
Perhaps, I am in denial, but I am having trouble believing that there was a carjacking attempt at 2300 W. Jarvis. I have lived in the area for years and feel like there is some other motive. The cameras are just chasing the dealers into the neighborhoods and into the cheaper apartments (or what is left of them). However, I wasn't there so what the *&$% do I know! Just a hunch, excuse the speculation, but I was not born, yesterday.
I heard he was banging somebodies girl. That's just what I heard..
