Joe Moore has invaded Washington D.C. and is shooting off his big fat mouth about the war. Again. When he should be in Chicago, more specifically in Rogers Park. Instead of dealing with the war on drugs in the 49th ward, Joe's blowing smoke for the national media to see.
From what I hear, Joe is blathering about the occupation in Iraq and what it costs in money. Joe Moore said that the people of Chicago have spent over 2/3 of Chicago's annual city budget on occupying Iraq.
Yet, back in Chicago, other Alderman are actually studying the bloated, over-the-top 2008 city budget.
BLOGNOTES: Really Joe? I thought 2/3's of our budget covered expenses in Chicago? Like your salary to be a Alderman of the 49th ward. Not to be a stooge for the DFA.

Moore is nothing but a suburban carpetbagger who is building his career as a national poll on our backs.
It's easy to look good in D.C. and in small-town Brit newspapers when you assume the correct postures on global issues. In D.C., all you ARE is the position you talk. No one there looks at what you did locally.

You just proved how dumb you are in your own post! The city is having budget problems BECAUSE OF THE WAR. So doesn't it mke sense that Mr. Moore is advocating to end the war so we can turn our focus from the problems overseas to the problems on Morse and Howard?

and btw- it is bush that does not know the protocol. it is an offense against the constitutional right of the people to petition their government that such a body would be turned away. not that one more crime against the constitution will keep him up at night.

There are proper procedures to petition the government. Some stupid idiot, other than JoMo, might like to poison the president through these unsealed documents. A few years ago there was an anthrax scare and I am sure that the security situation was tightened. We live in scary times. JoMo for one should know the way the government works. He cannot grandstand in front of the White House like he did on Morse Ave. What a complete waste of time. Another illumination is the madness of JoMo. He is a complete Joke. We need to organize a delivery of demands to his door and see if he accepts. I am in.
Bush has way more important things going on every minute of the day than to say "Oh, Joe Moore is at the White House gate, hmmm? I think I'll just buzz him in." But the self absorbed people like Joe Moore don't think of these things. It ain't the 60's bitch.
I agree with rp4life! We should recreate JoMo's little Washington stunt right here in Rogers Park in front of his office. That is if we can ever find him there.
