* The Purse Snatcher Strikes Again and Again

News Star Covers CAPS Beat 2431 Police Blotter

A man in his early 20s pulled a gun on a 21-year-old woman on the 6800 block of North Greenview Avenue around 3:20 p.m. June 21. The man said, "I need that," and grabbed the victim's purse which contained $10. The man fled on foot north on Greenview. Police patrolled the area and were approached by a woman who said that she found a man going through a purse on her back porch, who fled when he saw her. The man left the purse behind, but the money was missing.

A similar incident occurred around 5:10 p.m. June 21, when a man in his early 20s brandished a handgun and robbed a 37-year-old woman on the 6700 block of North Lakewood. When the victim told the man she had no money, he fled westbound on North Shore Avenue.

BLOGNOTES: Watch out people. It sounds like the twenty-something purse snatcher Joe Moore couldn't catch is striking at helpless victims again. But now he's gotten more brazen. Now he's using a allegedly gun. At least these people filed a police report.

Thanks for this post, Craig.

This is my neck of the woods. I've been feeling too secure and getting too careless.

Thanks for the warning.
