* USA on Top
Patrick is over in Italy this weekend competing in the World Youth Trials Championships. He got a full sponsorship last month after his surprise performance in Central America.
Patrick will be spending the next three weeks in Europe. This morning after the first loop Patrick holds a slight lead over series leader Alfredo Gomez (Spain) and Ross Danby (Great Britain). It's nice to see that American Flag in top of the trials world, so far. For sure, this is will be a update post, as I'm pealed to the internet for results.
Update #1: Yesterday, as a guest rider in the European Championship, Patrick finished 8th, well behind the guys behind him today. So this has to have the trials worlds head spinning.
Update #2: The kid's lead stuck. Patrick is the first American since 1981 to win a world championship trials event. Holy moly, looks like a serious celebration day for me.
I'm checking with the powers-that-be right now to get permission to post some photos from the FIM.
Results.
