Absolutely horribly mismanaged. This development serves on its knees to the alderman. It has failed miserably in attracting new business and new development. (except gentrification by pony-up developers) DevCorp got together with Urban properties and gave us Gateway Plaza. After more than 10 years it is still not 100% occupied and the businesses there are, by and large, worthless.

"Rogers Park often suffer(s) from a worse perception of crime." Paragraph 8: "... Rogers Park (is) unfairly targeted by the media."
This statement is not supported by the evidence presented in the report. DevCorp North does not cite any examples of Rogers Park suffering from a worse perception of crime.

Do you really consider the health club, Dominick's, Marshall's and the dry cleaner worthless? I sure don't.
The Dominick's is a piss-poor substitute for a good supermarket, but it's better than no supermarket at all. Lots of folks use the health club. Lots appreciate having a decent dry cleaner within walking distance again. Marshall's offers many items not otherwise available in the neighborhood.
I have to agree with Fargo, the stores at the mall certainly do not constitute a "worthless" classification. As a matter of fact, this mall is a wonderful resource for me personally. I work out regularly at Ballys, do easily 70% of my grocery shopping at Dominick's, and rent videos from Hollywood Video - something I'll be doing more of now that we're losing the Block Busters on Clark. Marshalls, Payless and Stewarts also get a large portion of my business. Gee, this is now officially a commercial for Gateway Mall . . . OK, so be it. The fact is, my life has improved since the mall opened and I'm delighted it's there. That doesn't mean I'm a cheerleader for DevCorp, however. I just wanted to speak up for the mall.
hahahaha you make me laugh again. First when I saw your headline "What Other Internet Search Engines Think About DevCorp" I thot this oughta be good.
Then I see the link to yelp.com. yelp is a place where schmoes rant. And then theres one single schmoe ranting on Devcorp. So what? You do that all the time. Why is that news? in fact it looks like that schmoe doesn't like much of anything so I wouldn't put a whole lotta stock in what he says.
hahahaha you and your hatred of devcorp are still good for a laugh tho.
rpnaybor, "that schmoe" has written 531 reviews, most of which are from Rogers Park and surrounding areas. He seems to know the city very well.
His reviews, with ratings between one and five stars, also seem to be well balanced.
These factors make this particular review of DevCorp North more valid than one of just an average schmoe.
