The 'man of the people' spent nearly a million dollars to falsely tell people how great he is. 4000 foolish people believe him and voted for this moron. The rest is history. I give you Congressman Joe Moore.
Nice... I just posted this over at Westgard's blog. It'll be interesting to see if he 1.) puts it up 2.) responds to it.
---------------------- Just Curious.. What do you think about Joe's trip to Washington? Do you think it's a good use of his aldermanic power and resources? My thoughts are that he must've spent quite a bit of time and energy on this. Time and energy that I would much rather see directed at making the streets of Rogers Park safer for the residents that elected him. ----------------------
My hope is that Joe gets a "better" job somewhere and leaves his post as 49th ward alderman. Then the mayor can appoint someone he likes. Now I'm sure there are going to be people who cry because the don't like Daley. I love Daley. Like him or hate him you can't dispute that he cares about Chicago and he gets things done. Having someone in here who's on Daley's favorable list will go a long way toward getting thins done around here.
Maybe Joe can get a job working for Al Sharpton. They're pretty much different flavors of the same being.
What a High School approach. Joe is an idiot. We have a Democratic Congress to do this work. Who does he think he is!? Maybe if he would come home and fix/resolve the issues in his own Ward, someone would take him seriously. He is a lost cause and skewed. This is like being voted the president of your Kindergarten class, doing nothing for your own school and trying to get attention from the High School boys. One step at a time Fat Boy.....Fix your problems at home, then move to the next step. Unbelievable, this Alderman is. "i'm an elected official"....he's about as elected as Bush was the 1st go round. please.
The past few threads have had some interesting and inspiring comments. Here's my proposal:
1. The social satire filmmakers at Rogers Park Bench get permission from William Hughes to use this video clip. Once that permission is secured, they edit in cuts to scenes from "Night Life Under the Blue Light Special” during Moore’s diatribe.
2. rogersparkbooster and progun collaborate on a narrative for the newly edited film montage, leaving room for highlights of Moore’s speech and conversation with the Security Guard.
3. Per southevanstonian’s earlier suggestion, a petition is drawn up, signatures are acquired and we do go, enmasse, to the Alderman’s office and stage our own “Voice of the People at the Gates” (a.k.a. “Barbarians at the Gate”) scene. This is also filmed by Rogers Park Bench and added as a coda to the edited video with appropriate commentary from rogersparkbooster and progun.
4. A press release is sent to the media announcing the video’s premiere on You Tube along with copies of the petition and a statement regarding how many signatures were acquired. These press releases are not limited to local or mainstream press. They would also go out to the social satirists at Comedy Central, etc., to all the talk shows (local and national) and to George Stephanopoulos for his “This Week in the Funnies” segment on ABC’s This Week with George Staphanopoulos. If anyone picks it up, we’ll have accomplished our goal of shining a light on the real “War at Home.”
Think the Mayor knows about Joe flashing this meaningless city council resolution around Washington as if it's the Mayors personal message to Washington?
I doubt the mayor knew about it before Joe went. He might know about it now. I'm sure when he found out he said something like "What?? That freaking dumbass is at it again?..."
Jesse Jackson Al Sharpton Michael Moore Joe Moore
They're all the same person.. The 4000 idiots who voted for Joe Moore might as well have just elected freaking Jesse Jackson alderman.
Seriously... WTF is Joe Moore doing in D.C.? Maybe we should send a group of condo association presidents next.
Is there ANYONE out there who thinks Joe's trip to D.C. was a good idea?? I'd love to hear that rationalization.

Moore or Schakowsky? What a dilemma! Two do nothing blow-hards that just self-promote. And what do they self-promote? Can someone please tell me.
What an idiot! What about the senseless slaughter of Ducks and Geese and their delicious livers.

I enjoyed a nice plate of foie gras at a very nice restaurant here in Chicago last week. We all had a nice laugh at Joe.

Who paid for this trip to Washington and the aldermans paycheck during this time?
Somebody, state the obvious for me.
Fargo woman, been enjoying your comments for some time, but that proposal made my day!
If Jan wasn't our rep I would vote to put Joe Moore in Washington. I think he'd make a GREAT representative.
Thank you , rebecca. I thought it was going unnoticed.
