Robbed in Rogers Park said...> "Yup, that was me that was robbed. My boyfriend actually put up the signs because he thought people should know what is going on. I was walking down the street at 7:30 am and a boy came up to me with a gun and robbed me. That's fine if you think the signs were lame. I had told our alderman to alert people and nothing was done. The police told me this has been happening frequently in the morning by the L stop. I walk one block to the L stop and yeah, I feel unsafe now. And I am not sorry that we were trying to inform the neighborhood to be on the lookout. If you have a better suggestion I am all for it".
* Later, after responding to this commenter who sent this to me in the form a of a e-mail, I get this nutjobs e-mail.
Rich Harper e-mail...> "Are you the ass who is making fun of women getting guns pointed in their face? I tell you what ...wait until your sister or your wife get armed robbed trying to go to work and then you can talk. If this keeps going on, one day some one will be killed. Maybe you can but this on a T-shirt. I was trying to warn my fellow "man" because you are not. What does your letter do for you? Make you feel big. People need to know of danger in the "hood". Maybe your the robber!!!"
Blognotes: I'm guessing Rich Harper was the sign poster. What do you think?
