And this person wants everybody in Rogers Park to know about it. Say, I got an idea. How about having some neighborhood t-shirts made up too? Here's another couple slogans we could use.
or
"I Got Gooned in Rogers Park"
If you're thinking of getting Joe Moore a gift, we've got one for you too. It's called the "Crime is Down 49%" - tank-top and undies set. These would make perfect Christmas gifts for your loved ones (and Joe). Information provided by The Bench.

Any bets how long it takes for Joe Moore and his goon squad to go around and remove these Rogers Park warning labels?
I saw this same sign at the exit of the Lunt side of the Morse El...Friday evening. Saturday morning it was gone. I thought a CTA employee removed it...I guess it could have been Joe's people. Where was this pic taken?
Looks photoshopped to me to be honest.
If people don't show up to CAPs meetings, demand action, get press, and pay attention to elections, then what do they expect?
However, I have been here for about ten years and see way too much improvement. Why someone is trying to get people's attention with this sign is unclear.
Imagine, if you wanted to keep property costs down, what would you do? Promote the worst, when change is taking place.
I wonder how many of us participate in PFAD or really try to genuinely work with the schools in RP?
Lives on Lunt -- the sign was up on the Lunt side Saturday night (saw it around 10:30). Perhaps the victim is dilligent about replacing it if it's removed.
If folks don't step to these criminals and let them know they are not going to cower from them, then they should expect more of the same. The cops can't be everywhere at once or do it all.
My shirt would say
I stopped a gooning in Rogers Park and all I got was shit for reporting it.
Can someone get the stats for crime around all the Chicago campuses? I mean Univeristy of Chicago, Chicago Circle, Loyola, De Paul, Roosevelt, etc. and do a comparison to see how the stats line up?
Yup, that was me that was robbed. My boyfriend actually put up the signs because he thought people should know what is going on. I was walking down the street at 7:30 am and a boy came up to me with a gun and robbed me. That’s fine if you think the signs were lame. The police told me this has been happening frequently in the morning by the L stop. I had told our alderman to alert people and nothing was done. I walk one block to the L stop and yeah, I feel unsafe now. And I am not sorry that we were trying to inform the neighborhood to be on the lookout.
So would you all recommend that next time this happens it is kept a secret? That's cool, then maybe people can start getting robbed and shot more freuqently in our area. Or better yet, as "Boxing Tomboy" suggested, step up to the guy holding a gun at you. I am sure that will prove to be effective. Well then I guess we wouldn't really need to worry about those property rates anymore "Lafew". So, when it happens to you, and maybe it already has, let me know how funny you think it is...
Hi Robbed,
Glad you are alive.
Coulpe of my neighbors were broken into last week. Smashed down the doors and windows to gain entry.
Daylight robberies while they were at work.
Last year about this time I caught someone trying to break into my house so he got hit with a shovel in the face a few times.
Uh did the robber have a really flat nose?
