* Loyola Student Robbed by Sullivan Students

At 2:30 PM today, a Loyola University student turned into a robbery victim when three kids who apparently are Sullivan High School students did some extracurricular activity at Glenwood and Arthur. Loyola Security made the grab and turned over the trio to the Chicago Police Department. No word what was taken.

Craig, is there even any security at Sullivan? I live on the block, walk my dog around the school (very glad it's lit up 24 hrs), and see kids that look to be high school age roaming the area during school hours. occasionally see a cop at the corner of albion. never have seen a security person in 2 + years. always a cop hanging out in the parking lot behind the school on the greenview side (while 2 blocks away shady stuff is happening on Morse). any idea about security at the school>

Sullivan is an open campus school which means students can go in and out. In these unfortunate times open campus is not in the communities or students best interest!
Even the prestigious Lincoln Park that somehow thinks their campus is in Bannockburn cannot control the student popluation or the drugs or the gans. Their is a constant police presence and the students run amuck!
I know the principal is new but someone who really cares should support his endeavors andmake Sullivan run like it could.

Loyola made the grab and handed over to CPD. CPD connected the trio of Sullivan students to at least three other robberies in 3 days.
They were picking out smallish white males and threatening them into handing over the goods. Sometimes with a pit bull, sometimes physically going through the victim's pockets.
People, please tell these thugs to go fuck themselves.
Stand up for yourselves.

I teach at Sullivan - and it is NOT an open campus school anymore.

Because of the wonderful board of education, we currently have a grand total of 5 security guards, not all of which are full-time.

Unless they actually had Sullivan ID's or there was contact made with the school regarding those individuals, there's a good chance that those people, though high school age, may not actually go to Sullivan.
