* News Star Police Blotter - The 'Crime is Down' Report

ROBBERY
• A 45-year-old man was robbed in the hallway of his apartment building on the 6600 block of North Sheridan road around 10:15 p.m. Jan. 13. The victim said he was greeted by two men in their early 30s as he entered the vestibule of his building. One of the men reached into the victim's front pocket and removed $150. The victim attempted to flee into his apartment while the men held on to the victim's headset cord to his cell phone and pushed him forward. Both men fled on foot out the front door in an unknown direction.

• A 25-year-old man was robbed while sitting in his car on the 6800 block of North Clark Street around 11 p.m. Jan. 11. The victim told police that a man in his late 20s approached his car and displayed a handgun. The man demanded all of the victim's money, who handed the robber $500. The man fled on foot down Pratt.
