* Proposed Wolcott Development on Hold

Dear Neighbor,

I am writing to inform you that I have placed on an indefinite hold the proposal for a construction of a three-story, 23-unit condominium development at 7525 N. Wolcott. The site is currently occupied by Amber Auto.

As you know, I scheduled a community meeting last night to review the proposal. I decided to put the project on hold when the developer, Dan Schwegel, refused to guarantee he would develop the project as proposed if he received the requested zoning change. Without that assurance, I will not support a zoning change for the property.

I will let you know if Mr. Scwhegel wishes to develop his project as proposed at some point in the future.

Sincerely,

Joe Moore

I guess Mr. Scwhegel has not "donated" enough to Citizens to Elect Joe Moore-On yet. Didn't he research ward politics with Mr Coe before deciding to build here?

I guess Mr. Scwhegel did not "donate" the appropriate amount to ‘Citizens To Elect Joe Moore-On’ yet. Didn’t he know to talk to Mr. Coe on ward policies regarding developers?

Ha ... this is fun.

So Joe Moore got attacked on an earlier thread because he was going to make the wrong decision, even though none of you knew what decision he would make.

And then he gets attacked for making the right decision, or at least the decision all of you said he should make.

I guess Mr. Schwegel can't get financed.

Jesus, what brilliant timing on his part. This schlep wants to throw up a bunch of ugly, ordinary condos in the middle of the worst housing bust since Rome was sacked.
