Ben Joravsky's Headline said...> "A couple of the “retards” who voted with magic pens should be thanked, not ridiculed."Source.
Blognotes: When I used the word "gullible" to describe Amy Carlton, everyone got up in arms. Yet, when another writer used the word "retard' in his headline, no one bats a eye. There were dozens of other words Ben could've used. Why choose retard?
Why would John Q. Public give this Reader reporter a pass by using such a derogatory and slanderous word - and I got reamed over the coals for telling the truth? Amy was gullible, but, she's not a retard. That would mean her condition was built in, not learned.

Thanks for your blog Craig, I enjoy reading it.
It is worth nothing that the reader article wasn't about just you. And they sourced the "retard" comment:
"Many wondered how the voters could have been so clueless as to accept the election judge’s invisible ink explanation. Some commenters riffed on Carlton’s “dumb” quote; Wonkette labeled her a “retard.”"
So I don't think they were misquoting you.
Craig, you are a victim. Why can't people see the truth?
Ben owes his readers an apology. Calling these voters retarded is giving all retards a bad name.
Boo hoo poor Craigie-poos.
HOMO
It was stupid that the voters accepted the explanation, but it's even stupider that people aren't up in arms about election judges deceiving the voters.
