Greenview robbery: Burglars broke into an apartment on the 7400 block of North Greenview sometime between midnight and 2:30 a.m. April 17, and swiped a laptop computer. Police noted that the door jambs and lock had been broken.
Several neighbors told police that they did not see or hear anything unusual.

Man stabbed outside CTA Red Line station

A man was seriously injured Thursday morning when he was stabbed outside the Morse CTA Red Line station on the North Side.
A 25-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition after being stabbed twice in the chest at 1358 W. Morse Ave. about 3:27 a.m., according to Rogers Park District Lt. John Szmyd.
The Morse CTA station is located at 1358 W. Morse Ave., according to a CTA dispatcher.
A stabbing victim was taken by an Advanced Life Support Ambulance to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, according to Fire Media Affairs.
Police are seeking two males believed to have been involved in the stabbing, but no one was in custody as of 8:45 a.m., Szmyd said.

Exactly the reason why I don't live there, and why so-called "concerned" Chicago police secretly question why RP residents choose to continue doing so, too.
