I asked once, a while ago now, if we can impeach the Alderman. The answer was no. The only remedy we have is to wait until the vote comes up again. With all this discussion about recalling the Gov., why isn't anyone doing anything about moving forward with a recall amendment to the city's constitution? (Consititution may not be the proper word here but I think you get my drift.)
While we're at it, how about the County Government or am I the only person who thinks Stroger Jr. is going to be sitting on his throne for the next few decades?
Last but not least, what about anti-pay to play laws here in Chicago? Could we have some of those please AND could we PLEASE enforce the ones we have already? That goes for the anti-patronage laws too?
Why do I get the idea I'm just a voice in the wind? Chicago, Cook County and Illinois politicians are all a bunch of crooks, ego maniacs and liars!
