City Council Revolution Year One Report Card

Moore dumped sidekick of 15 years Ricky Munoz from his traditional role of standing close to Joe Moore whenever Moore needs someone, anyone to stand near him to bolster his fantasy self-image as the leader of something, anything. Moore found a freshman alderman who is so naive he actually thinks Joe Moore is some kind of leader.

• Listen as Alderman "Do-Nothing" boldly predicts he is going to jump on that whole TIF thingy, just as soon as he can hire a staff of analysts, like he's been yammering since the fall of 2007. Moore thinks Chicago's TIF program needs more study. Meanwhile, he will continue to be a reliable, back-bench, rubber stamp, just like he's been for the last 17 years, so hang onto your wallets, fellow taxpayers!

• Listen as noobie Waguespack pathetically fumbles the obvious question of his accomplishments in his first year, so thoroughly muffing the soft toss as to convince the listener he was completely unprepared for today's topic: May is the first year anniversary of the seating of the current Council. "I woke up the other day and it was a year later and I thought, wow, time flies when you're having fun," Waguespack cracks wise, and Moore chimes in, "Try 17 years later." Pals Joe and Wags then share a chuckle reflecting on the $104K+ they each pulled down while having a complete lack of any role in a year that included as its most significant accomplishment the largest property tax hike in City history.

If talk were all it took, these guys would be all set.
