An Uptown man has been charged with the rape of a Rogers Park woman and the attempted rape of another woman after Chicago police matched his DNA to evidence, police said.The only shelter I know in that block is the People’s Church at 941 West Lawrence. What would make this rapist come to Rogers Park to do his dirty deed?
Gerald Lee Holman, 37, whose last known address was a shelter in the 900 block of West Lawrence Avenue, was arrested Tuesday and charged Wednesday with one count each of aggravated criminal sexual assault and attempted aggravated criminal sexual assault and two counts of home invasion with a firearm. The attacks occurred in June in the 6900 and 6800 blocks of Wayne Avenue, police said.
Belmont Cmdr. Gary Yamisharoya said Holman attacked a woman in the laundry room of her building June 18. The next day, he knocked on the window of another woman's apartment and forced his way into the residence, but fled before raping the victim, Yamisharoya said. Source.

Good Evening from the ECB....it's Wednesday
6:15 PM, 1406 W. Morse Ave. - Robbery call, woman says she was robbed at gunpoint by three black men. Only one displayed a gun, 2 of them are wearing white t-shirts. Victim's purse and keys were stolen. Suspects fled southbound.
6:22 PM, 1460 W. Jarvis - Gang members selling marijuana.
Remember, Joe says crime is down. Or at least the last time he spoke about crime.
It is now more clear than ever that Rogers Park must invade Uptown. This act of aggression cannot stand. We need to take action now to prevent similar incidents in the future. Carpet bombing Uptown would be justified in light of this heinous offense against Rogers Park.
The corner of Jarvis and Greenview is a disaster. The only comfort to that area is the Coofee Shop, The Italian Restaurant and the Gourmet
Shop. All of these businesses appear to be making it but the location was really a risk. The bold salesmanship of the drug dealers is unbelieable. You woul think that because nomoore's office is kitty corner from this spot nomoore would care. Maybe this is why he leaves such a green imprint on his hood and uses his car. He is afraid too!
The last time I was walking this way I noticed his office. The appearance is dowdy! The blinds are uneven. The windows look like they haven't been washed in a long time. I don't understand it.
I am proud of the owners of the new business establishments and hopefully in the future they will make a difference in the next election.

While there may be no innocent here, there are certainly many who are not guilty.
It is nice the cops used DNA to nail the guy. With any luck he will get cancer of the penis and die a slow painful death. Actually a quick death is better from the taxpayer point of view.
Violence only begets more violence. No bombing of anyone or anything now or ever!
I read the comment #31 posted in Chicago Tribune. Moored should be removed from office if he doesn't have the courage to resign after this statement. I hope people never hurt anyone he loves. Of course maybe if he is able to say what is posted, he isn't able to love. Sad! Sad! Sad!
