* SEIU is Firm. "No" to Boys and Girls Club at the New Community Center

Dale Jackson, the Park District Division Director of the Service Employees International Union Local 73. SEIU Local 73 represents the over 2,300 employees that provide the programs and also landscape for the Chicago Park District. At the end of the video Dale talks about the SEIU being kept in the dark about the process until early July (July 9, 2008). That's right. Even the SEIU was cut out of the early stages. Then Mr. Jackson explains how Joe Moore tried to cut a back room deal with the Union after being exposed as a behind the scenes Union-buster. How low-down and sneaky is that? Even for a double-talking slimeball like Joseph A Moore.

I don't think the SEIU could be any clearer. Don't believe what your reading. Have a look & listen. It's recorded on video. The SEIU is very firm on this issue.

"No" to Boys and Girls Club at the New Community Center.

"Yes" to the Boys and Girls Club in the Gale School Annex building.

Has the community and Union message gotten through that thick skull of yours yet, Joe Moore? If it hasn't, the community has said it will continue the protests and hold more rallies. Are you up for more of this, Joe? The community is. You can't continue to hide in the Wrigley Field Bleachers forever.

So are we going to get an apology from SEIU for their influence in the last election. If they hadn't pushed for Joe he probably wouldn't have won and these union jobs wouldn't be at risk.

Don't we have some loophole that allows us to impeach an alderman if he repeatedly demonstrates that he's nuts?

Jesus, the community makes it clear that they want the BGC in the school, but he has to have his own way.

What's it going to take to get this idiot out of office?

Hey, Joe, Union New took notice.

We need BOTH the new Park District facility complete with PD programming AND the BGC in the Gale Annex.

Beyond that, why aren't some long-unused storefronts being offered for additional venues for the already active NFPs already serving our youth and our whole community?

A related question to ponder...

If as Moore claims he hatched this scheme just a last month,

but now claims he has found a "substantial sum" of committed funding to bring a new NFP to the NOrth of howard community (oddly available ONLY if it is in the new unopened Park District field house!),

then where the heck has Mr. Fundraiser God been for the last 17 years?

Moore has the ability to raise and spend nearly $100,000 every six months from out of ward developers/realtors/lawyers etc. for his personal use campaign fund.

But what about the kids, Joe?

Why does this surprise you. Joe Moore is a democrat. The democrats have been anti-union for as long as I can remember.

Kind of makes you wonder about Joe's intelligence once again. He was quite happy to have the union help him pull a few slimy tricks when he was struggling to get elected.

He probably never considered, however, that he would have to answer to them in the future.
