A got a couple calls and a few emails about this sign today. Clearly some of the neighbors are pissed at Joe Moore and the 24th district police department with their handling (or not) of the drug dealers who live and work in Rogers Park. Shortly after taking these photos, some lady removed the signs.

These guys just move from corner to corner as the police drive by. If you don't have time to get out of the car, most of the time they will come to you.
As of 7:00...it is back up...laminated too! GO DRD!
The people who took it down, missed the message, once explained, they put it back up. :)

Glad it went back up - I see so many undercover cops around - why are the druggies not arrested? Taking pics and filming is a really good idea -
What's the possibility that the low-level drug-dealing activity is tolerated by law enforcement in an effort to build a larger case against a criminal drug organization / gang?? Or is this just wishful thinking on my part and the cops just don't care?? Anyone in law enforcement willing to enlighten us??
Well, it disappeared during the nite. It was quite funny to watch.. People would pull up and plan on parking there, then their headlights would hit the sign. And they would park somewhere else. lol Somebody snagged it and parked there.. So, there will be one more put up this evening...Any chance One of hte local news channels could get this. Total slam on the 49th's office and the 24th? Let me know. Thanks
I drove by this morning on my way to drop off at school. The sign was gone and a car was parked there. I wish I knew somebody in media because this is too good to pass up. Anybody know anyone?
One of the smartest/more clever moves I've seen in a long time. Throw it right in the alderman's face. Smart move.

People are so stupid, they see the sign and think it's an invitation for drug dealers, had 2 try and tear it down(obviously they did not go through the adult literacy program) lol And the Aldermans office wants to know "where it is" lol

DAMN, WOULD CERTAINLY BE NICE IF THEY WOULD SHOW THIS MUCH INTEREST WHEN A "DEAL WAS GOING DOWN" GUESS THEY WILL HAVE TO COME BACK TOMORROW TO REMOVE THE ONE I WILL BE PUTTING UP. Well, we are certainly getting some attention over here. One unmarked, one regular cruiser, and now we have no signs. Wish they would come when we had drug deals going down. I guess the truth scares them. God forbid we had someone parked improperly or without a city sticker. Then they are Johnny on the spot...

This is hilarious. I saw the cones again this morning from afar but they were lying down on the street. Are they going back up again today? Many in WRP are talking about this.
