This afternoon, around 3'ish, a female got seriously battered at the Morse Avenue EL station. EMS was called to the scene and the police were looking for an offender. The event number for this mid-day beat down is 11483. During the investigation 911 was called for a "selling job" at the Morse Avenue CTA El station.
4:28 PM: Reside on Morse (1340 West Morse) security/doorman is having a problem with a male/black and female/white who won't leave the lobby. The offender(s) threatened to "pull a gun" on the security/doorman. Offender(s) fled west on Morse before the police arrived. The police are looking for a M/B, 40's, wearing a baseball cap backwards, a Michigan University sweatshirt. He was in the company of a female/white, in her 30's.
4:40 PM: Mr. Anonymous calling for "shots fired". Six shots heard at Howard and Greenview. Nothing further. But, then again, there never is when Mr. Anonymous calls.
4:45 PM: 2411 gives the "slow down" to the "shots fired" call.
10:15 PM to 10:35 PM: It's party time. 4 males hanging out in the alley behind the new Morse Theatre backstage door smoking dope.

I have called and emailed the Alderman's office several times about this stop - they need to clean it up and get rid of the "junk people" that just hang around in those couple of blocks. I never hear back from the Alderman's office - I guess he is too busy with the donuts.

Last night walking home (around 7 pm) in front of the shoe store next to Morse grocery a man asked two young men walking in front of me if they had any pot. The guys were like "we don't do that sh*t" and the guy just went back to hanging out. I wonder if he ended up getting some and was one of those guys in the alley behind the Morse Theater?
