Back in high school, motocross meant a cheap, tricked out enduro bike, lots of makeshift protective pads, and a big open field---the funkier the terrain, the better. But this? This is wild. Craig, I am thankful that you haven’t broken any bones.
I didn't want to kill everyone with a long post about our season, because some people get bored with it. But, it's thanksgiving, it is my blog, I'll do it here.
I'm thankful to be able to travel the world doing what I love. Dirt-biking. This year I got to see japan, Luxembourg, France, England and Ireland. Oh, and South Carolina.
I'm thankful to be able to help my nephew compete against the worlds best off-road racers and trials riders, when just 4 years ago we were dabbling against amateurs in the midwest. Wow, what a leap.
Patrick. 6th - in the FIM world championships, with only 6 of 12 rounds competed. (Fractured back) 1st - AMA National Trials Championship. 1st - AMA National TrialsCross Championship. 2nd- AMA Indoor Championship. 14th - AMA EnduroCross Championship (2 rounds)
Phillip. 2008 - X-Games Gold Snowskate Medalist. 1st - AMA Mini-Moto Championship. 5th - AMA National Trials Championship. 3rd - AMA National TrialsCross Championship. 10th place - AMA EnduroCross Championship.
I'm thankful the AMA honored me with the '2008 Spirit of EnduroCross' award this weekend in front of 8000 fans. (That's the X trophy in my photo box.) The AMA honored my efforts and determination in running the top Privateer team on the circuit.
I'm thankful my first attempt at putting on a city athlete competition was a success. Having the world record holder attending didn't hurt.
I'm thankful I met you and your family.
I'm thankful for my staff.
I'm thankful I still have the intestinal fortitude to sit through 2 1/2 hours of Joe Moore's rah-rah meetings.
I'm thankful the Sun-Times choose me as one of the 50 pain-in-the-asses of the year.
I'm thankful for Reside on Morse.
I'm thankful so many people read my misspelled words.
I'm not too thankful for all the stalkers, people who put threats on my life, anonymous mock-bloggers.
Graig: Congratulations on all of your achievements. I know that Phillip and Patrick must be proud and thankful to have such a supportative uncle like you.The world would be a much nicer place if all young men had an uncle like you in their life. Thank You for all of the good things that you give back.
Thanks, Sandy. For where we came from, we really did have another banner year. Not quite as good as last year results wise, (Pat won AMA Athlete of the Year in 2007) but a solid effort nonetheless.
Noel, Pat, Phil and I all seem to work together as a great team. We really enjoy being with the kids and teaching them things. Although, those days are getting numbered.
Sitting at the dinner table last night, we all chatted about the year to the rest of the family. and showing them the videos and photos after dinner. It was a special moment.
We can't wait for next season to start already. We want a National EnduroCross Championship title. We want to beat those pesky factory teams with all the big money rigs and fancy bikes and high paid riders. That's what we want to do.

I could go on. And on.
