Saving Electricity in the 49th Ward

One way Joe Moore helped reduce the (quote, unquote) "carbon footprint" in the 49th Ward for 2008 is to stop using alley lights in certain areas of his neighborhood. Like this one at 1336 West Morse. Leaving lights on at night is a drain on the power grid and wastes electricity, which also generates heat, which adds to global warming, thus adding to the carbon footprint in the 49th ward. Our global thinking leader will have none of that. Keeping the lights off in the alleyways is one of his grass roots efforts. Joe Moore, making the 49th Ward the COOLEST WARD in the city! And the darkest too.
