Rogers Park Crime Wave Claims Alderman's Staff as Victim

49th Ward Alderman Joe Moore's chief of staff {Betsy Vandercook} was robbed last week in Rogers Park, Chicago. News-Star reports this week:
Source.
'Don't make me shoot you'

A 61-year-old woman's purse got snatched on the 7800 block of N. Greenview around 9:35 a.m. Dec. 23. She told police that a man in his 30s, "Don't make me shoot you," as he pulled on her purse. The man grabbed the purse and headed southbound on Greenview, taking the woman's cellphone and an unknown amount of cash. She did not see a gun.
Blognotes: I'm guessing the address in the News Star Crime Blotter report is incorrect. And on top of that, Joe Moore didn't bother warning the citizens about this crime via email poof.

Blognotes: You're right...there is no 7800 block of N. Greenview. The 7600 block is the end of N. Greenview.

I am sorry to hear that one of our neighbors was robbed. Unfortunately, even this won't hit home enough for Joe Moore and those poor souls who blindly support him to admit that Joe just isn't getting the job done.

I'll say it again: If Joe Moore worked in the private sector, he would have been fired years ago for inability to do his job.

I'm sorry to hear Betsy was mugged. Sounds like a frightening experience.

Someone should just rob Joe Moore so he gets off his ass and does something.
