Hi, Craig, school has been pretty good this week.
March 10: On Tuesday, school was pretty calm. Other than a few arguments, some boys talking about a fight that happened yesterday and one near fight, things were usual. Also, a crew from the Oprah Winfrey show was there to interview a few kids about dating violence. Their interviews are going to be on Oprah's Thursday show. This is kind of exciting to hear since a few of my friends may be on there.
March 11: On Wednesday, school was calm for the most part. I only observed a few altercations and other stuff.
March 12: On Thursday, my class and I went on Ford City mall. It was pretty good. We learned how to shop and spend money.
March 13: On Friday, things were calm. Just the usual loudness and goofing around.
March 16: On Monday, things were ok. I observed several arguments and two fights, but nothing major.
- Thanks,
Avondale/Logan Square Crime Blotter

Your class spent a school day at a shopping mall? Please tell me there was some meaningful curriculum built into and around this trip.
Suzanne....
"We learned how to shop and spend money."
Would you rather the students take a field trip to the Heartland Cafe and learn how run a restaurant?
Plus, field trips to the shopping mall stimulate the economy.
Speaking of stimulating the economy. Wonder if James and Hogan flipped for a new ice-maker, or just cleaned up the old black smily moldy one?
Does someone have to ask the same question every time Timmy mentions a field trip?
Let's do a sit on you couch field trip to the Adelphi, hosted by Carol Marin/with a guest appearance from Mister Brokenheart.
Tomorrow night, 10 PM. Channel 5.
This should be both entertaining, and educational.
Robin, alot of thanks to you for telling Suzanne what our trip was about. These trips aren't all fun and games. We get a quiz regarding our trips that we have to complete while we're there. Thanks to you too, ECB, for saying that. It's getting annoying.
And for you folks who don't want us going on shopping mall trips, don't worry. Thursday is our last trip to a mall, at least for now.
Suzanne, you can go to Timboys blog and read all day about field trips and girls fighting in the hallway. I hear it is suppose to be a very interesting blog :-)
RP30, my blog isn't about that. My blog's about crime in my neighborhood. And I don't do posts (about school) that would take all day to read.
You guys should be glad I'm in this program. If I wasn't in it and my mom didn't know one of the security guards at school, I'd still be hanging with the wrong crowd like I did last year.
Don't feed the troll, Timmy.
Although Timmy doesn't have to explain it every time, he's stated before that he's in a special class, not the regular routine CPS curriculum.
You're right, Resident, I shouldn't feed into RP30's whining and complaining, but I've got the bad habit of responding. I'll work on it.
And I'm not going to explain all the time that I'm in a special class. That's obviously why I'm on trips every week. If I were in regular classes all day (I have 3 now and they're adding on one or two more for next year). I would be in school everyday, all day and I would have more observations than I do now.
This is actually the first time in 5 years that I've been in a special class like I'm in now. At my last school, I was in a Special Ed class but it wasn't an actual program.
timmy, congratulations on getting into a couple more normal classes next year... that's awesome, and more normal classes plus the special ed are really going to help you go far in life.
Damn ... I can't even bust the kids balls without all the fairy Godmothers, coming to the rescue..lol.
The Sullivan girl fight blotter is saying that I am "whining and complaining" ...... now that is some funny ish!
Fairy godmothers, RP30? You still believe in fairies? I'm younger than you and I don't believe in them.
And girl fight blotter? You make me laugh. You make it sound like as if my blog on crime is a bad thing. If it is, why don't you complain when Craig puts crime up here? He does much of the same stuff I do when he does put it up.
Yeah, you are whining and complaining. Just like a baby, actually. I have more important things to do than to argue with you, so I'll catch you later, whiner.
Thanks for the congrats, Eddie. I'm excited about them. That means I'll get to experience some more of actual high school life.
Oh, and also RP30, I forgot to tell you this in my last comment, but I can defend myself. And what you said about busting my ... you know, that sounded ... werid coming from you. If you mean if you're trying to get me mad or sad, it's not going to happen. I don't waste my time weeping over comments like yours.
It's O-O-K Timmy-boy:-)
