Timmy's Last Stand

Hi, Craig, things were great this week.

June 8: On Monday, my class and I went on our final field trip of the year, to the Chicago History Museum (formerly known as the historical society). It was a nice trip. After the trip, we ate and got back on the bus to school.

June 9: On Tuesday, it was a quiet yet interesting day. I saw no incidents of goofing off but alot of interesting things (discussions and etc.) were going on in both my regular classes and my program.

June 10: My last day of school (until summer school) has came! On Wednesday, things were good. Everyone was just hanging around, doing nothing for the most part. I also saw people wishing each other a happy summer, giving hugs, etc. In other news, my class threw a birthday party for me (my birthday is on the 14th of this month). They sang to me, wished me a happy birthday and other nice things. It's been a pleasure being here at Sullivan for the school year. I've met so many nice people and have made great friendships. I will always remember this school year for the great times I've had. So, to everyone not going to summer school, have a great summer and enjoy your time off! For those going, have a good weekend and I'll be back on Monday.

- Thanks,

Blognotes: What can I say? Timmy was an absolute perfect fit for the 'Broken Heart' this year. It was a pleasure (and honor) to have him aboard. He followed dead-lines, gave me accurate copy and learned to take corrective criticism. His writing also stirred up emotions and trollish nit-picking. Like I said, Timmy's a perfect fit for investigative reporting.

I give Timmy an A.

Timmy, you're a fine young writer. Happy birthday, and enjoy your break. Thanks for your reports, which I always read.

Thanks for the nice comments, Craig. It's been great writing these observations for you. Next year, I will still write them, but only when there are actual fights and mayhem.

When the next school year comes, I'll be enrolled in the Journalism class. I'll tell everyone who reads my observations throughout the year how it goes.

I'll still be looking at Broken Heart everyday. If you need me for anything, Craig, I'm just an email away.

Thank you as well, Scott. I liked writing these reports for everyone. I'll still be around next school year, though not as often.

Oh, and just a slight correction, but my offical break doesn't start until July 24.

Thanks Timmy. No matter what some may say, you gave me a better insight into what goes on in the hallways of some of today's high schools that I've ever gotten from the newspapers. I don't think anybody here, even the naysayers, could honestly say they knew there was fighting in the halls almost every single day, and not just one fight but several. Have a good summer, get out of town and keep your head low.

Hi Timmy,

It's good to see you go down the journalism path. You write with a clear voice and personality, yet somehow the words flow through and are not ultimately about you.

Tuesdays have been good reading.

Thank you.
